Come and see Julia Donaldson acting and singing in her brand new show at the Edinburgh Fringe! 6th - 31st August (not 19th) in the Cow, Udderbelly, George Square.
In this brand new interactive show Julia Donaldson acts out her stories and sings her songs with a cast of five including guitar-playing husband Malcolm. The show features books illustrated by David Roberts, Lydia Monks and of course Axel Scheffler. Come and watch the plucky mouse outwit the fearsome Gruffalo, and meet your favourite characters from What the Ladybird Heard, Zog, A Squash and a Squeeze and Jack and the Flumflum Tree.
After the show there is a chance to meet Julia at the daily book-selling and signing.
As well as Malcolm, Julia is joined on stage by her sister Mary and by young actors Joanna Hutt and James Huntington
Electric Talent
The production is directed by Peta Maurice of Actor Factory Productions (
www.actorfactoryproductions.co.uk ), managed by Scamp Theatre, and features a stunning set designed by James Lewis and built by Tin Shed Scenery (
www.tinshedscenery.com). Additional music and soundtrack are by composer and musician Brian Hargreaves (
brianhargreavesmusic.com). The show also features some amazing puppets of the animals in Julia and Axel's first book "A Squash and a Squeeze". These are made by Marc Parrett from Fly in a Pie Productions (
